Must Visit To Beautiful Al Mamzar Beach

4 mn read

Dubai is full of hidden gems and Al Mamzar beach is also another hidden gem. This park is built on a huge 106 hectares of land. The park gets its name from the adjacent Mamzar beach located near Deira and Hariya port. Five separate beaches combine together to make up Al Mamzar beach. This beautiful park is filled with family entertainment and other facilities to keep kids of all age groups happy and satisfied.

Take advantage of more than two-dozen public barbecues, grassy picnic areas, changing rooms, beaches, and pools. They’re also monitored by lifeguards with kid-friendly swimming areas. Park yourself by the lagoon, or if you’d like to check out the park in its entirety, hop onboard the Park Train. This takes you around the whole area – another great way to entertain the kids. The park is also equipped with a musical amphitheater that hosts performances from time to time. It does not matter whether you spend a few hours or an entire day here, the thing that is guaranteed is that you will have a splendid time at Al Mamzar Beach Park.

The green and beautiful park has a lot to offer its visitors including sports and bicycle rentals, snack bars, lawns, Smart Palms for wi-fi access and air-conditioned cabanas (Dhs150 to Dhs200 per day, on Beach 4). There are also sun loungers and umbrellas for rent, but food outlets are minimal so you might want to bring a picnic. No males over six on Mondays and Wednesdays (designated ‘Ladies’ Days’). The closest metro station is Al Qiyadah, about 6.5km away.

Al Mamzar Beach Park is divided into five beaches that are ideal for swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling. Swaying palm trees, three pools, multiple playgrounds and picnic areas with barbecues make this a popular venue for families at weekends. Sunloungers, umbrellas and jet skis are available for hire and there’s ample green space for skating, cycling, and ball games. Showers, changing rooms, fast food kiosks and a mini-train round out the first-rate facilities. Stretch out on the sand or dip your toes in the water at one of the park’s white-sand beaches.

For a small entry fee, there’s additional water-based fun in the park’s pool area, with three pools including a baby and children’s pool. The park also provides a number of children’s play areas with tunnel slides and climbing structures. Explore Al Mamzar on foot along the numerous paths. They take you past manicured gardens, desert plants, and palm and coconut trees. For an alternative way to view your surroundings, take the scenic train tour through the park or rent a bike from the park’s bike rental service. You can climb Al Mamzar’s 8-meter tower in the center of the park, from where you can have a view of Sharjah.

The wide expanses of grass provide plenty of space to play ball games and run around. Private chalets can be rented out for the day. Make reservations at the park’s on-site administration office or via the Dubai municipality’s website. Al Mamzar Park remains open seven days a week, but Wednesdays are reserved for ladies and children. The busiest day is Friday when offices and schools are closed, but the park is so large that finding a quiet spot at any time isn’t too difficult. Downtown Dubai is just 20 minutes’ drive away from Al Mamzar Park. A taxi is an easiest and convenient way to travel from Al Mamzar park to Downtown, so you may find lines of people in the afternoon to catch a taxi. You can also bring your car as the park has safe options of inside and outside parking.
